SAN RAFAEL, Calif. Michael G. Smart,
president of Smart-Comp Products, Inc. here, has announced the introduction
of a new program, Mod Calc, that "calculates the California experience modification."
According to Mr. Smart,
Mod Calc was created for experience rated employers, self-insured employers,
agents and brokers, accountants, consultants and underwriters, and is part
of the Smart-Comp "Bottom Line" series
of workers' compensation risk management and dividend analysis software designed
"to operate on an IBM PC/X-T/AT or 100 per cent compatible computer."
Mr. Smart pointed out that Mod Calc includes built in features that illustrate experience modification changes as you enter or modify loss and payroll information. "Feedback is instantaneous and continuous," he said.
Applications
Included among the Mod Calc applications are lowest possible experience modification and premium; impact of individual loss or loss reserves; premium affect of a loss trend; merger or acquisition effects; future impact of a single large loss; premium cost of a misclassification; information for self-insured analysis; and "much more."
Other Services
Other services available from Smart-Comp include the workers' compensation risk management service for California agents and brokers. "At Smart-Comp, our computers scientifically analyze workers' compensation past, present and future loss costs."
Also, premium analysis, a software system has been devised "for anyone who does insurance/financial planning, analysis and forecasting," Mr. Smart said. "Premium Analysis is a great timesaver. You collect rating form, financial and dividend information on a worksheet. Then load and print a report. Premium Analysis automatically sifts through nearly 20,000 calculations to produce the correct 'bottom line' totals for each report."
